Clara Haberkamp describes herself as a genre-open pianist and composer. Hailed as “one of the most distinctive pianists on the German jazz scene” (DLF radio), she has recently made waves internationally with her latest record “Plateaux” (TYXart, TXA24184), blending jazz, classical, and new music—direct, intimate, unmistak-ably her own, and occasionally adding her voice as another color to connect with the listener.
Her solo piano album LOVE MAPS (including also two Vocal Tracks – # 04 and 10) is a masterpiece of navigation—a crafted sonic map that bridges diverse musical genres with nuanced improvisation. Familiar pieces and her own compositions are reimagined through her unique and deeply personal perspective.
